Le Creuset Cookware – Luxurious and Long-Lasting

Despite their lofty price tag, Le Creuset cookware pieces add an element of luxe to your kitchen and are designed to last for a lifetime. They also offer superior heat retention and a lifetime warranty.

The brand’s casting and enameling specialists settled on the bright orange color of Flame and named it after the glowing molten cast iron at their factory in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France. Marilyn Monroe was said to be a fan and owned a set of their Elysees Yellow pieces that sold at auction for $25,330.

Le Creuset now offers more than 20 unique colors. The company typically partners with retailers, such as Williams-Sonoma and Sur La Table, to offer exclusive “limited edition” colors that are only available in those stores.

While the brand makes an assortment of individual bakeware and cookware items, it’s best known for its cast iron skillets and Dutch ovens in a range of distinct colors. Each piece is cast in a fresh sand mold, then smoothed by hand and enameled, a process that can take up to 10 hours per pot or skillet.

The brand also offers a variety of sets, which can save you money over purchasing each item individually. Some of these include just a few useful items, while others include as many as 12 helpful pieces. Most Le Creuset products include specific instructions about maintenance and care, such as what types of utensils are compatible and the maximum temperature limit.
