KitchenAid is best known for its stand mixers, but it also makes other high-quality appliances like ovens and cookware. The brand’s 10-piece Hard Anodized Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Set is a solid option for consumers looking to upgrade their cooking gear, as it offers an extensive range of pot and pan sizes that will cover most general kitchen needs. It’s dishwasher-safe for fast cleanup, and oven safe up to 350F with tempered glass lids for heat retention.
The ceramic coating is made without PFAS (which some researchers believe contributes to unhealthy living), and it is durable enough to handle heavy, regular use. In our test kitchen, it performed well, with food sliding off easily, and the interior stayed in shape and remained nonstick after repeated washings. However, the exterior of this set was prone to scratches and other cosmetic issues, making it less attractive than some competitor models.
Another limitation of this set is its incompatibility with induction stovetops. Unlike most other ceramic nonstick cookware sets we’ve tested, it does not have a magnetic base, so it won’t work on an induction stovetop. This is an unfortunate limitation for consumers who already have or plan to purchase a new induction range, as it limits the utility of this set.
The only other major drawback of this set is its relatively low manufacturer specification for maximum temperature. This is a minor issue since nonsticks tend to perform best in the lower end of the temperature spectrum, and this isn’t an outlier in our testing experience.
